Hotel Reservations
ALL Teams will stay either at the Monte Carlo Hotel or the Excalibur Hotel
which are on the South end of the strip and very close to the Airport.
Parents, For the Monte
Carlo Hotel & Casino, YOU MUST CALL 1-800 - 311 - 8999 and inform the
agent that you are booking for the GROUP CODE -
XCUP09
" North American AAA Champions
Cup" ( NO On-line booking or outside booking Agents can be used )
Parents, For the Excalibur Hotel, You Must Call 1 800 937 7777 and inform
the agent that you are booking for the Group Code -
XCHAMP - North American AAA
Championship Cup. ( No on-line or outside booking agents can be used. )
This is so the Hotel can keep track as we have booked so many rooms and the
Hotels want to ensure that their sponsorship of the tournament is offset by the
amount of Hotel rooms booked by the team parents. If we donot meet their a-lotted
amount of rooms our future sponsorship for following years will not be given.
Remember that your entry fee only covers 65% of the tournament budget. We need
these sponsors to offset the budget. Thank You and your help in this matter is
greatly appreciated.
Right now is a great time to get your U.S. Dollars at the bank or check around
to the cheapest place to get the best rate on your exchange. ALL Banks are
different so check around.
Directions to the Fiesta Rancho Hotel & Sobe Rink - 702 647 7465
From the Excalibur Hotel go North on the strip about 4 blocks and turn left at
the Flamingo Hotel ( Flamingo Blvd ) Now go west only about 2 blocks to the
Interstate Highway ( I 15 ) and turn right now going North Towards Salt lake
City. Keep going North until you come to Lake Mead Blvd.( East or West ). Take
the Lake Mead Blvd. West off ramp and go west until you come to the Fiesta
Hotel (on right hand side ) and pull into the huge parking lot and go to the
North side of the building where you will find the Entrance to the Rink.
Directions to Las Vegas Ice Center Ph - 702 320 - 7777
From the Excalibur Hotel go north on the Strip ( all the lights and hotels )
about 4 blocks and turn left at the Flamingo Hotel ( Flamingo Blvd ) ( You
cannot miss the hotel as it is large and on the right side of the street).
You now should be going West towards the Mountains. Keep going about 12 15
minutes until you reach El Capitan road. Just pass that on the left side
of the road you will reach 9295 W Flamingo Road. The twin arena is on the left side
of the road and is brown in Color.( hopefully they have not repainted it ). It
looks more like a Brown warehouse, but it is nice and has Old Style Castle
towers on the roof.
These are the fastest way to the rinks.
Cell Phones
Remember that once you cross the U.S. border the ROAMING charges on your cell
phone are very High. You can run up a $200 - $400 bill on just roaming charges
very quickly. Turn off your cell phone and only turn it on a couple times a day
to get messages, or call.
I learned the hard way with a $400 bill for 8 days.
